My only problem is I feel I know very little about the characters besides Zero, even with reading the Novellas beforehand. There's some great humor in this game, a good chunk of it sexual but sometimes the characters, especially Zero will complain about game design or Mikhail will say something idealistic that Zero doesn't agree with. The characters, and their crazy banter however are what really sells it. It's no Nier at all, it's actually kind of silly and doesn't take itself to seriously. Kind of reminds me of Kill Bill in a fantasy world and a young dragon.
DRAKENGARD 3 DLC CHAPTERS JAPANESE AUDIO 720P
Every game could stay 720p with 30fps and I'd be happy. I honestly don't think the framerate drops are game breaking and the graphics look fine to me, but I'm not picky about that kind of stuff. It's not bad really, but its nothing amazing either.

Boss battles can get pretty intense but boil down to the simple formula of using your triangle attack at a certain time then fireballing the fuck out of your enemies. I especially liked the desert level where you had to find shade in order to restore your health lost from the sun. This one, just a little bit more but there are a few levels that stand out and kinda break the mold. Yes it's standard one vs 1000 men type of gameplay but honestly, all games feel somewhat repetitive to me. I loved Nier but this is my first time playing an actual Drakengard game. I'm up to about chapter 5 on the my first playthrough, I won't spoil anything story related in this though. Not really acceptable when it's at the end of the console's life cycle. The game does not look great, yet it still manages to chug pretty badly once the Dragon fights start happening. I get the feeling this will eventually be at least somewhat explained, but it still feels like a rather mishandled use of En Medias Res. Zero wants to kill her sisters because she wants her power, but who knows why she wants that. So, there's Zero, who's an intoner which is.a Goddess or something? And her sisters are trying to end the world, I think, but it's been a year since they supposedly started and the world looks pretty much the same. Zero is an entertaining main character, all the psychoticness of Caim, but actually talking! Yay! However, the story isn't really getting me just yet, purely because I have absolutely no idea what's going on. The voice acting is pretty good, and the writing is too, for the most part. Very visceral though, and satisfying in short bursts. I appreciate the difference in tone, and I think the combat is a lot better than the original Drakengard and a little better than Nier, though it still isn't great. It definitely feels very different from Drakengard 1 and Nier, being more of a parody than the bleak stories of the latter two. Personally, I'm.actually quite liking it. Drakengard 3's been out in the west for a day or so, so I thought I'd see what people thought of it.
